Week 1 Reflection

My first day in teaching practice was on Sunday, October 17-2021, I went to Al-Daher School, and Miss Fatima welcomed me with all due respect and appreciation. She took me on tour around the school to learn about the existing facilities.

I attended with Miss Leena Melroy Arrakal that teach English subject for third and first grade. I was very excited to learn new things and gain teaching experiences because she has been in the teaching profession for 20 years.

I was nervous because this was my first time, but I started focusing on her excellent teaching techniques and forgot about the tension. I noticed some SEN students, but the teacher helped them improve their level.

I was surprised by how the teacher dealt with the student who made mistakes. I was shocked by how Miss Leena Melroy Arrakal manages her class. She used many methods to describe the lesson. I was a delight in how Miss Leena Melroy Arrakal explained the whole lesson and made everyone answer.

My second week in teaching practice was on Sunday, October 24-2021. I note that Miss Leena Melroy Arrakal's relationship with students is positive, based on respect. I like these relationships, and I felt it from the behavior of the students.

I will learn how to teach from Miss Leena, and when I start to teach the students, I must prepare the whole lesson to teach them. However, I enjoyed the idea of teaching, and I had an enjoyable time learning the correct teaching methods.

Every day during the teaching practice, I set and take notes before the teacher starts the class. I focus on them and learn more about teaching. I have to teach three times to practice more.

Monday, I start to teach grade 3. They were very active with me, which contributed to the success of the class.

Week 3 Reflection

My third week in teaching practice was on Sunday, October 31-2021. I note that Miss Leena Melroy Arrakal makes a great effort to deliver the correct information in the best way to the students. She makes a lot of effort in a short time.

She teaches six classes and treats all students well, even if they misbehave. In grade 3, a group of students misbehaves, but the teacher can deal with them by changing the lesson to attract their attention and focus.

I help the teacher correct or enter the grades and deal with the students as much as possible because children are quickly distracted. They are always moving around the classroom.

On the last day of teaching practice, it was online, and I was saying goodbye to the students and the teacher. It was a good time I spent with them, and I will miss them.
